Healthy Steamed Pork and Vegetables: A Perfect Start to the New Year

As we welcome the New Year, many of us seek wholesome and nutritious meals to kickstart a healthy lifestyle. This steamed pork and vegetable dish, featuring marinated pork shoulder and a medley of fresh vegetables, is both light and flavorful, making it an ideal addition to your table. Packed with nutrients and low in fat, it’s a great way to enjoy delicious food while prioritizing your well-being.

Ingredients:

100g bean sprouts

50g watercress

2 baby bok choy

A pinch of salt

A pinch of black pepper

For the Sauce:

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp vinegar

1 tbsp sugar

1 green chili, finely chopped

1 green onion, finely chopped

1 tsp sesame seeds

1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Vegetables:

Wash the bean sprouts, watercress, and baby bok choy thoroughly. Cut the baby bok choy and watercress into bite-sized pieces.

2. Season the Vegetables:

In a large bowl, lightly season the vegetables with a pinch of salt and pepper. Toss gently to coat.

3. Layer the Ingredients:

In a steamer or a deep pot with a steaming rack, layer the seasoned vegetables at the bottom. Top with CJ Prime Marinated Pork Shoulder Bulgogi.

4. Steam the Dish:

Cover with a lid and steam over medium heat for about 12–15 minutes, or until the pork is fully cooked and the vegetables are tender.

5. Prepare the Sauce:

While the dish steams, mix all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl until well combined.

6. Serve:

Carefully transfer the steamed pork and vegetables to a serving dish. Serve hot with the sauce on the side for dipping.
