Ingredients (Serves 2–3)
Pork Cutlets
-
2–3 slices CJ Prime Pork Loin
-
Salt & black pepper
-
½ cup all-purpose flour
-
1 egg, beaten
-
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
-
Vegetable oil for frying
Instant Miso Glaze
-
1 pack of Hanamaruki Instant Miso
-
2–3 tbsp hot water (start small)
-
1–2 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
-
1 tbsp mirin
-
½ tsp soy sauce (optional, for depth)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Pork
Lightly pound the CJ Prime Pork Loin to an even thickness (about ½ inch).
Season both sides with salt and pepper.
2. Bread the Cutlets
Set up three bowls: flour, beaten egg, and panko.
-
Coat pork in flour (shake off excess)
-
Dip into egg
-
Press firmly into panko until fully coated
3. Fry Until Golden
Heat oil to 350°F (175–180°C).
Fry cutlets 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
Transfer to a rack or paper towel to drain.
4. Make the Instant Miso Glaze (Important Step)
Because this is powder miso, concentration matters.
-
In a small bowl, mix miso powder with just enough hot water to form a thick paste (not soup consistency).
-
Stir in sugar and mirin.
-
Pour into a small saucepan and simmer gently for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
The result should be a glossy, thick glaze that clings to the pork.
5. Assemble
Slice the crispy pork into strips.
Drizzle miso glaze over the top or serve on the side for dipping.
Serve with:
-
Steamed white rice
-
Shredded cabbage
-
Lemon wedges
